I'm going to start this weekly post. I call it Throw Up Thursday because this is where I'll write all the sweet, gushy, mushy lovey feelings I feel for my husband, which about 7 months ago would have made me feel a little nauseated if I heard someone else speak of their, now, similar feelings.
Here it goes...
I never believed in soul mates until I found mine.
Bleh!! Ok, maybe my stomach still isn't used to this yet lol. But I do love him.
I don't know how I feel about the term "soul mates." I'm interested since you said you never believed in them until... I love "Throw Up Thursday" best name EVER!
ReplyDeleteI believe in an non-traditional definition of soul mate. I've never heard of a soul mate being defined or mentioned in the Bible, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The Bible is much too short to contain the entirety of God's creations.
DeleteI don't believe that I only have one soul mate. I also don't believe all soul mates are of the opposite sex or someone one should marry. A soul mate, I think, is just some one who "gets" you, for lack of a better phrase. Someone who understands what you're saying when you don't know how to put it into words, or knows what you need before you're aware you have a need.
Sometimes they are husbands or wives and sometimes they're best friends, or teachers, or all three, or some other label entirely. Some times they stay in your life "until death do us part" and sometimes its only for a short time because people move on (physically or just forward with their lives).
