Throw Up Thursday

Throw Up Thursday: My one time per week to tell you how awesome my husband is.

I like to read before I go to sleep at night. And by "like" I mean need. And I rarely go to bed at the same time he does.

Every night he leaves the light on for me, no matter how much longer it will be.

And by light I don't mean a lamp, I mean the light to the entire room.

Graduation Weekend

In one weekend of May we attended two graduations for several friends.

---
First was OU graduation for Johnny Wonny!

Teej and I sitting in the stands.

All of the students from OU's School of Arts and Sciences.
So many of the students were super creative and decorated their caps.
We saw the Bat Signal, a Transformer, lots of "For Mom" and "For Dad," and even one that lit up!!

We are so excited for Johnny Wonny and Becks and their new life together post-college :)

---

Next, we went to our Alma Mater to watch several of our friends walk across the stage:

A dear friend leading us in song.

Myself and the daughter of my favorite professor :)

It was a wonderful day of celebrating the accomplishments of our friends and family.
We're grateful to have been a part of it.

Congrats to everyone: Johnny Wonny, Finkle, Jenny B., Jessie, John, and so many others!

Emi-Loo-Who's Golden Birthday!

So my Lil SIL, who shall be blog-named Emi-Loo-Who, turned 11 years old on May 11th!   We celebrated with her the day before. And here are some pics to prove it! LOL

This kid makes the best faces:

Way excited for a Password Journal.
Gotta' say that I totally understand this - I loved mine back in the day!

Awesome books for the Summer.
She requested a book of Devotions and a Prayer Journal.
So excited to see where this young lady of God goes in life!

 A few more Emi-Loo-Who faces:

Teej and I got her 11 gifts of 11 things.
One of which was Reese's Cups, which the whole family loves.

Hence why she has this super protective face on for this next pic.
And our big-spender item: 11 Dollars.

Emi-Loo-Who and another 11 gift: 11 Ramen.  This kid seriously loooves ramen.
She's gonna loooove college.

All together her 11 of 11 gifs were:
11 pennies
11 nickels
11 dimes
11 quarters
11 dollars
11 pages of stickers
11 packets of Kool-aid
11 Ramen
11 Reese's
11 Colored Pencils
and
11 Hugs (a juice drink)

Throw Up Thursday

Sometimes after we get home from dinner or hanging out or whatever, I'll decide its time to check the mail which is 20 feet away.
Every time he insists on walking me there and back because he says, "Someone might kidnap you."
And he is dead serious every time.

Diamonds and Death

So I mentioned in a previous blog post (Children's Auction), Teej and I purchased tickets to a murder mystery called Diamonds and Death.

The event program.

The night finally arrived!  We went to the local Goodwill and bought what we considered to be redneck gear.

The redneck version of us.

See, the set up was this: we were guests at a reception for a wedding between a rich, "sophisticated" girl and a not-so-poor, redneck boy.  During part of the reception a man dies and the rest is spent trying to figure out who did it.  All while enjoying delicious food that was provided by Sooner Legends.

Yummies!

It was a very enjoyable evening spent with friends and family.

My SIL and I.  We're rednecks so of course we brought guns to a wedding!
(and this was BEFORE open carry was passed, we're rebels!)

All in all, it was awesome.  I had always wanted to go to a murder mystery dinner and now I can say I have.  Check that off the list :)

Throw Up Thursdays

He has the prettiest steel blue eyes that God ever made.
He wonders why I always seem to not hear what he said, but really its his eyes. My mind goes blank when I look at them.
They're that pretty.

Throw Up Thursday

I don't like cherries or cherry flavored things.

When I get a bag of candy, he will taste test all the reds to make sure they aren't cherry.

Throw Up Thursday

I still remember the first day we really hung out, and I still giggle thinking about it as the butterflies do somersaults where I thought my stomach was.

Stupid butterflies.  Maybe that's why I feel sickly talking about this stuff.
